Wall City Jaipur
The Wall City, also known as the Old City or the Pink City, was founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the visionary ruler of Jaipur. The city's distinct pink hue, a color of hospitality, was chosen to welcome the Prince of Wales during his visit. Enclosed within formidable walls, the city was meticulously planned and laid out in a grid pattern, reflecting a harmonious blend of ancient Vedic architecture and contemporary urban planning.
